Writing tools for your own draft

Use these browser tools for concrete planning and revision tasks. They count text, combine points you enter, organize rubric criteria or format your notes. Your inputs remain in the current browser page, and the tools do not submit essays to an AI service.

Choose the output you need

The word counter measures length using its stated rule and an optional limit you supply. The score calculator combines earned and possible points. It requires every score and does not assess the essay itself.

The rubric builder turns editable criteria into a custom text scaffold. The outline planner offers academic and personal structures filled only with your notes. Each includes a download so you can keep the result before leaving the page.

Keep judgment with the writer and reviewer

Use a real assignment or application prompt to decide what matters. A length count does not establish quality, a percentage does not predict admission and a custom rubric is not an official assessment standard.

Connect a tool result to a specific next step: cut repeated background, discuss a low-scoring criterion or fill a missing part of the outline. The writing guides provide exercises for making those decisions.
