The planned process
How EssayGrader is designed to work
The goal is to turn an essay draft into understandable feedback and useful revision steps. Only the frontend preview exists today; the grading workflow below is not connected.
- STEP 01Preview available
Choose an essay type
Select general academic, argumentative or college application essay. The homepage selector is a preview; choosing a type does not start an evaluation.
- STEP 02Not connected
Submit essay text or a supported document
The intended flow accepts a draft and, when secure document processing is ready, supported file formats. Today, text stays in the browser and the DOCX/PDF picker only shows a local filename and size. Nothing is sent or parsed.
- STEP 03Coming soon
AI evaluates against a relevant rubric
A future grading service will assess writing against criteria suited to the essay type and explain its observations. No AI evaluation runs in the current site.
- STEP 04Coming soon
Review an estimated score and criterion feedback
A planned report may include an explained score, criterion-level feedback and evidence from the draft. Scores will be educational estimates, not official grades. No real result is generated today.
- STEP 05Coming soon
Follow actionable suggestions
Students will be able to use prioritized suggestions to strengthen a thesis, support claims, organize paragraphs and clarify sentences while keeping their own voice.
- STEP 06Planned later
Regrade and compare progress
A later version is intended to compare revised drafts when the same rubric makes scores comparable. Regrading and before-and-after reports are not available yet.
What an evaluation is meant to include
Depending on the essay type and reviewed rubric, future feedback may discuss organization, thesis and argument, evidence, clarity, grammar and relevance to the assignment. The exact rubric and scoring behavior will be validated before grading is released.
EssayGrader feedback is educational guidance. It cannot promise a particular school grade, exam score or admissions outcome.
